Twinning with Mariposa Love

Hello there,

Been away for the longest time from the Blog now but have a lot of things lined up for you guys. I was working on a project which had me travelling to Hyderabad so was really caught up with that.

Keeping the tradition on of working last minute, this too follows suit. I'd like to believe that I love the pressure situation to function. Considering that twin sets are trending from quite sometime, and I love them too so this look made the cut to the Blog. They are a good investment as they can be used separately. And in a lazy situation(which is always), it actually reduces my tension from thinking of what to pair up as these come in a set. Twins sets are available in all types of prints and all types of clothing too, not just limited to skirts and top though those are my favourite kind.

This twin set is from a new store called Mariposa Love and is started by a very known blogger called Natasha Shotri. You guys should definitely check out her store as we're all in support of the Blogging fam. She has put up an amazing collection that has her compiling all the on going trends for us. I love animal prints and am a sucker for cutout backs which made me pick this. I simply love how the zebra print and cheetah print make a super rad combo and add such an edge to a rather casual twin set.

As I'd said earlier, my next post will be monsoon based and my picks for this season. See you on the other side.

Much love,
Riya Jain

Happy Sunday

Hellooo love,

Hope you're having a happy Sunday! Lazy being the agenda today, we're going to keep this small. Who doesn't love statement jewellery? Statement jewellery is a must in every girl's closet. They are so quirky and edgy at the same time. Every piece has so much detailing and I've been crushing on them from forever. Medoso plays our partner in crime for helping us hoard gorgeous pieces. Generally with statement jewellery I end up looking for a lot before liking 1-2 pieces from most stores but Medoso is one of those places where I eyed every piece and I feel its priced well considering they are exclusive statement pieces. You can check them on Instagram as well as Facebook.

Coming to the clothing, the crop top and palazzo I am wearing for this post are from a store called Meow in Indore. Palazzos are comfortable and decided it to team up with a black crop top. Totally loved the detailing of the crop top. With the pair up being basic, I decided to wear statement earrings and ring to lift the look.

People from Indore, I hope you've have spent your weekend shopping with Meoow at Radisson Blu. If you have missed it, you can still get your hands on your favourites from their collection as they are on till 9pm today.

I expected this post to be smaller but never mind :'). I'm hoping to do a monsoon post soon for you guys. Till then miss me!

Much love,

Fringing it out 2.0

Hellooooo,

Firstly, you guys are so sweet and I love you all so so much (Skip to the second para for the details of the outfit, I rant a little here). I reached 25k and obviously it is all thanks to you guys. I really feel grateful for all the opportunities and I do mean it every time I acknowledge it. I may not definitely be able to send it across as I reply to the comments really late on Instagram but I really appreciate each one of you guys taking time out for commenting and showing me so much love. Also, what keeps me going is being around the positive things and people, I prefer skipping negative things, that often includes comments too. I like to keep the space positive for all of us and that will always be the attempt.

Coming to this post, I am sporting fringes again but this time the trend takes the skirt up a notch. For me, this skirt was one of the must have fringe clothing. Over the period, in the fringes options, I've shown a bag, shoes, top, jacket in the last post and completing the bottom wear in the form of this ultimate black fringe skirt. I've already ranted about the trend in the previous post, which you should check out to keep up with this sequel. I wore a striped shirt and tucked it in to go for a formal vibe and it can rock any semi formal or non-corporate meetings. And I thought of adding a pop colour with the handbag but went with matching it to these classic pair of rivet heels which have also been on my favourites list.

Fringes and rivets(studs) are definitely a must try as I feel they instanteously add more confidence to your outfit. They surprisingly have a retro-classic vibe to it and are currently in trend. I loved creating these two looks for you all. I would love to know what you guys want to see on the Blog. Some trend I missed or want my take on something new. Do let me know in the comments on the Blog or Instagram.

Fringing it out 1.0

Fringes were all over the place this summer and considering June in Mumbai, summer is still going strong! Personally, even I heart fringes but a couple of years back, I did find them quite funny. I don't know why but I guess I was afraid to try new things, which I'm open to now. And ya, I always encourage trying a trend. With time you can decide if you're going to stick it out or disagree to ever owning it.

Fringes have been translated into bags, shoes, crop tops, jackets, skirts and more. I wanted to go for a semi formal look and people with less corporate jobs can go with this for a meeting and more day outings. One could wear a tucked in top suiting their comfort or darker pair of denims too.

Wow clothing had some rad options for fringes and this jacket made me put together look 1. I pulled out my ripped jeans and a basic crop. To keep the look a little sassy, I went with these Valentinos. Another fringe look will soon make it on the blog. Until then, wait up for my Jaipur Blog and more. Also, don't forget to tell me how did you like this look and how differently would you style it :)
